Match the glasses

The classic tasting puzzle. The host pours a flight of two to six glasses and tells you which wines they are, but not which glass is which. Deduvin helps you sort them.

You enter the glasses and the names you were given. Then Deduvin asks about the glasses in the way that separates them fastest: which is darker, which is more mouth-drying, does glass 3 smell of blackcurrant. Some questions compare two glasses side by side, which is easier than judging one glass alone. After each answer the board shows where each name most likely belongs, and marks the glasses it is still unsure about.

When you are happy with the board, the host reveals the order and you see how many you placed right, which pair you swapped, and what reading would have settled it. A perfect flight earns a bonus.

Six reds in a row is hard for anyone; three reds and three whites is a good first flight. Two glasses, "which one is the Pinot?", is the quickest game at a dinner table.
